La vision de l’artiste
Chaque fois que je commence une nouvelle peinture, c’est un peu comme si je découvrais l’art surréaliste en tant que spectatrice au tout début du mouvement.
Dans mes peintures, chaque personnage et l’être qui projette la plus grande ombre ou la plus grande lumière dans mes rêves, ou rerésente l’amour comme moyen de création et source de révélation.
Je tâche de libérer mon désir dans le monde en une image figurant la beauté contenue dans la personnalité de chacun, à la fois éthérée et fragmentaire.
Je suis convaincue que le scientifique et l’artiste parviennent à la même compréhension de l’inconscient. La route que j’emprunte vers le surréalisme passe toujours par une connexion personnelle, souvent romantique, avec les membres imaginaires d’un groupe. Il s’agit d’une sorte de liberté. La cause surréaliste, dans l’art comme dans la vie, est la cause de la liberté elle-même.
Je ne pourrais pas attendre que le monde se révèle à moi de maniàre passive, et pourtant mon principe féminin gouverne toujours ma création. Ma discription d’une organization sociale basée sur les principes d’égalité, de repect de l’existence et dotée du pouvoir de l’amour succéde à un ordre politique et social patriarcal profondément enraciné qui à façonné la révolte surréaliste. C’est pour cette raison que mon róle en tant que créatrice se retrouve dans mon travail autant que dans ma vie sociale.
L’imagination s’accompagne d’une qualité hallucinatoire et rêveuse mais l’impression dominante est celle de la nature rendue vivante par Eros.
Le désir du surréalisme de projeter la réalité psychique dans le monde naturel, de transformer le paysage d’après les pressions de la vie intérieure, curieusement inventés par mon propre moi.
Mes voyages symboliques effectués au plus profond de moi, de la terre et de la galaxie, me mènent vers une destination dans laquelle je me mélange à d’autres et une imagination fantastique se développe à partir de rien.
Je suis convaincue que c’est par le biais de l’exploration de l’inconscient et du projet d’état de rêverie dans la réalité que j’atteins de nouveaux niveaux d’imagination créative.
Fascinée de la même manière par le processus au cours du quel je conçois ce voyage imaginaire dans le labyrinthe de la mer, entourant l’inconscient par un bain aquatique capable de donner naissance à des oeuvres d’art plutôt qu’à des déesses d’amour. Pour ma part, ce processus fonctionne toujours dans les peintures et la poésie.
